Mini-Vacation: Rockport Reservoir

It has been a hot week. Luckily, not as hot as some places - the east coast was hit hard with no electricity in the middle of a heat wave. So, I'm seriously happy with my A/C and no humidity.

Doug really wanted to get out this weekend and use the boats. So we went in search of water in the Wasatch Front. And look what we found! Rockport Reservoir. Lovely, not crowded (we were very surprised) and quiet.

The kids loved the water, and they loved the picnic almost as much.

Doug? He just loved hanging out in the water.

He did this floating thing for a looong time. 

See? Still floating. Collin is in the kayak, heading out into the lake. After three hours, we headed home. Tired, a little muddy, and smiling.
