Doug just keeps knocking projects off the list.
He put the handles on the cubby door in the kitchen:
He put up another shelf in the garage to hold the paints and solvents:

Almost completely inaccessible. Good for kids, not so good for the painter (me). |
He also insulated another wall in the kitchen - it was reading at 105 degrees at 10:00 am. Yikes!
 |
It's the top wall, to the right of the cubby. The cubby with the new handles. |
And just so we can take a trip down memory lane, let's see how far that cubby has come:
 |
A hole in the wall |
 |
Covered with Tyvec |
 |
Covered with cardboard |
Can't really say which I hated more...cardboard or Tyvec? Tyvec or cardboard? Hmmm...
 |
Finished doors, with hinges and everything. Oh, everything but paint and handles. |
 |
And the finished cubby. Woot! |
Ah. A truly finished project. Finishing anything around your house? Hopefully you're a little more productive than us!
Very cool!!! Literally, now that there's insulation ;)
ReplyDeleteI've just been finishing making some sheer curtains for the Drama Club. They underestimated how much they needed, so I have two more to make tonight. Oh fun. But now that the sewing machine is out again, I may get some of my other projects worked on.
AND....
I just found out that there's a Salt Lake City Comic-Con, and so many of my favorites are going to be there, but I CAN'T GO THIS YEAR!!!! I've already used too much vacation time! :( It looks like it's the second weekend in September, though, so maybe next year. If I haven't allocated all my vacation time for New Zealand, that is.
